The Moodle gradebook can be exported for safekeeping into a number of file formats, including Excel (.xls)
Export the Gradebook

Log into Moodle and navigate to your course.

Click the Grades tab at the top of the page.

In the drop-down menu in the upper left which defaults to Grader Report, select Export

Change the Export as drop-down menu to Excel spreadsheet

Click the Download button in the lower right
