Project management is the set of techniques and methods used to deliver a unique product in an environment that contains constraints including time, resources, and scope

What tools and techniques are used in project management? 

There are a variety of tools that can be used to assist a project manager and team to implement the project. They can vary from spreadsheet and, tracking software to schedules and analysis methods. Some templates are presented in the knowledge base and can be used for projects as needed

The Project Management Institute (PMI) is the authoritative body that establishes standards and best practices for project managers. For more information, visit www.pmi.org

Can I get training in project management?

From time to time, the Portfolio and Project Management Office (PPMO) offers project management training to the campus. These are typically offered through Human Resources. Additionally, there is online training available (not affiliated with Connecticut College)
