If you are using the Chrome browser to access Banner admin pages (http://banner.conncoll.edu) you may receive the following error:
This was caused by a Chrome security update that Google implemented in November of 2025. In order to fix this you may need to modify your browser configurations to get it working again. To remedy the problem you need to disable the "Local Network Access Checks" feature in Chrome. Here are the steps:
- Open Chrome browser and put the following URL in the address bar: chrome://flags/#local-network-access-checkDisabling
- Scroll down until you get to the "Local Network Access Checks" section, or type "Local Network Access Checks" in the Search box:
- In the dropdown, select "Disabled" and then select the "Relaunch" button.
- Access Banner ( https://banner.conncoll.edu ) again as normal. Issue should be resolved.
